Trading Rules for Rydex funds
Rydex observes the same early closings as the New York Stock Exchange. However, the Government Long Bond 1.2x Strategy Fund, Inverse Government Long Bond Strategy Fund, High Yield Strategy Fund and Inverse High Yield Strategy Fund will also be closed on days when the U.S. Government Bond Market is closed, including Columbus Day and Veterans’ Day.
On any day that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the NYSE or the principal government securities and corporate bond markets close early (such as on days in advance of holidays generally observed by participants in these markets), or as permitted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”), the Funds reserve the right to advance the time that NAV is calculated and, correspondingly, the time by which purchase and redemption orders must be received.
If the New York Stock Exchange is open for a half-day session, then:
The closing times for all telephone AND web transactions are:
- Sector Funds: 12:30 p.m. ET
- Absolute Return Strategies, Commodities Strategy, Hedged Equity, International Rotation, Managed Futures, Multi-Cap Core Equity, Sector Rotation and All Essential Portfolio Funds: 1:00 p.m. ET
- All other Funds: 12:45 p.m. ET
- Funds which normally price twice a day will only one cut-off time at 12:45 p.m., using the 1 p.m. market closing time for pricing.
- Client Services will close at 2:00 p.m. ET
If the Bond Market is open for a half-day session, then:
- High Yield Strategy and Inverse High Yield Strategy will close at 12:30 p.m. ET
- Government Long Bond 1.2x Strategy and Inverse Government Long Bond Strategy will close at 12:45 p.m. ET
- The Bond Market typically observes a half-day session the business day before each holiday.
The holiday trading schedule is subject to change if the underlying exchanges alter their holiday schedules. Rydex will make every effort to post updates promptly once we have been notified of any changes. |
